Snappping bac2 Reality - PART 2

This is it. I'm officially a student-again. After a break of 8 months, I'm back in the game. Uni lectures started today. Wasn't too bad at all.

It really takes time for me to digest the fact that this is IT. My future. No space for screw-ups.

The weather here in Adelaide has been pretty crazy. Like PMS. The only difference is that we can actually check online for weather forecasts. And so far they have been pretty accurate.

1st week of arrival : 39 deg + massive sun + dryness

2nd week of arrival : 20 over deg + wind + dryness

3rd week and counting : 36 deg + massive sun + dryness

I need more sun-block and more moisturiser. I'm not high maintenence. I have never believed in lotions and moisturisers - till I landed on Aussie soil. No kidding.

Adelaide itself is pretty small, as compared to KL. More nature, less concrete. No such thing as sky-scrappers. Well, at least the nature makes up for the lack of "city life". I guess it's a good change for me, having lived in a metropolitan city since I can remember.

However, it takes time to settle in, takes time to realize and appreciate the beauty of this place. The people I've met so far have been nothing but friendly and hospitable. Let's hope it stays that way. *fingers crossed*

Pedicures anyone?

Boy...it really has been AGES since i've updated my blog. Apologies.

So what have I been up to lately? I've basically completed my foundation studies and am currently working part time at an engineering firm. Good experience. Enjoying myself atm. No complaints. =)

Last 2 weeks had been packed. Busy busy. Got busy with dance practise down in KL. One of my regrets is not being able to participate in the ball. Anyhow...there's always goin' to be the next one, rite?

Dance practise last 2 weeks had been awesome. I can totally say that I really enjoyed myself. Feeling doubtful of my participation at the beginning, the journey till the end was great.

We learnt the cha-cha, rock & roll, waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Quadrille, polka all within the last 2 weeks! absolute fun! =D though my feet hurts, at least i can say that i did try out those dances...! =P

A social event like that is always fun. It 's a good chance to meet & get to know new people. The unknown is always intruiging...

I shall let the pictures do the talking...

I've been neglecting this blog for quite some time, haven't I?... time to make amends...but this doesn't mean loong posts, which I totally have no time for. Mid terms is ending tmr! YAY!

Life recently has been like a blur. Days, weeks come and go. By the time you know it, it's the end of the week, or the time to hand in an assignment.

This is why I shouldn't procrastinate.

I can't wait for my 3rd semester to end. Really. I need some time off. To rejuvenate. To clear some things of my mind, off my chest; so that I won't make sucky decisions which make me seem like a bitch.

To lessen the tone of this post, which seems rather whiny and depressive, CNY was relaxing. I actually spent 5 days in Ipoh! Talk about family spirit. Got to meet up with my cousins and all, which turned out to be a blast.

The joyous moments of CNY could actually be savoured longer, if not due to fact that we had to start college on the 4th of CNY!

WTH?!?!?

Anyway, i'll just keep things short by posting up some pictures.

Enjoy and have a great year!

semi - hols

well, how should i start?

first off, my finals ended. FINALLY! unfortunately still have to attend LAN classes. Ridiculous if u ask me. I've never listened in LAN class b4. Our group is famous for coming in late. So i think i shouldn't blame anyone if i fail my LAN, except that I DON'T WANT TO FAIL LAN!!!!

I can't imagine myself sitting there for another semester for Malaysian Studies.

I think we shouldn't go to Ruums - ever. Was pretty damn lucky I didn't get caught. Was pretty lucky a few of us decided to go out for some mamak, instead of hanging around there. The next thing we knew, a couple of our frens were being brought down to Dang Wangi Station.

FUCKING SHIT.

Of all the people there, they just wanted 7 of them. WTF?!?!?!

A few from Thai, a few from Aloha, a few from Ruums to prove they did their job? MY ASS

Pretty ruined the spirit. Anyway, the party started after that. Didn't look as pathetic as before. Had a pretty good time after that. By 2.30, people started leaving as they didn't want to take da risk of being brought down. We left too for mamak.

I was half dead when I reached home. But I had a gr8 time, due to a certain someone.

Some good news though. Thank goodness I didn't screw up my Zertifikat Deutsch exam. I was so afraid that i'd screw up my exams & just throw away my dad's 400 bucks.

Thank goodness.

Ryan Star at Zouk

Channel [V] VJ , Albie and Me

After Ryan's mini concert...............

Ryan Star at Zouk, Malaysia!

Rockin' the night away.......

Josh and me..... =)

Ryan Star

ok. I admit. I did act like a groupie when I saw Ryan Star. Yeap. THE runner-up of Supernova RYAN STAR.

Thanks to Josh, I had da chance to see the talented rocker live in Zouk in his mini concert.

Ryan is :-
1) Tall
2) Talented
3) Hunky
4) Cool

Gosh. I sound like a typical "girly girl" who giggles at the sight of drop-dead hunks. I'm not that kinda girl. Totally NOT me.

The night at Zouk together with Josh and his friends were cool. Albie from Channel [v] actually interviewed me at the end of the concert! Thank goodness I remembered one of the songs ryan sang that night. 11:59. How embarassing it would be if I ended up blurting out some random song title.

We adjourned next to Laundry Bar as the night was still young.

Frequency Cannon and some other local band performed there. I say it was really not bad at all. Pretty cool.

A HUGE thanks to Josh again for makin' that night possible.

*hugz*
