Back 2 Square 1
My semester break flew by, just like that ....2 weeks of holidays..ending soon...
Darn.
The first day in Langkawi was crap. Thank goodness for the star-gazing at night and Island Hopping which made up for the crappiness of the first day. Island hopping was made even more exciting by the unsuspecting rain after a good swim at Pulau Dayang Bunting. Speeding against the rain which hit us like little needles, the couple of us sitting in front clung on to that drenched towel, acting as shields protecting our pretty little faces. Beach volley was fun, considering the weather was perfect -- not too much of typical scorching tropical sun. Telagah Tujuh made up for the absence of the cable car tour. The nights by the beach were memorable as it was my first time making wishes while catching comets flying by in the clear nights. In short, the trip was very memorable.
*How do I live without you......*
Nacho Libre was ok. Typical Jack Black. In my opinion to the others who haven't watch it yet, Nacho Libre is DVD worth. If not, you won't miss anything by NOT watching it. Comparing Adam Sandler and Black, Sandler definitely wins hands down. Unsuspecting plots in Click made people sniff and reach for their Kleenex. A definite must-watch. Dinner at Williams was scrumptious. Was very pleasantly surprised to see David coincidently there too. I guess the world is REALLY small. Dude, all the best! You coming back in December or not? The next time when you come back from UK, we gotta hang out together lah wei....must ajak Chris and all to come out for a drink..... Better behave, monkey boy! =P
Penang was great! Together with Han and the other two Germans, I had a blast. The nights were memorable.....and jet-skiing at Ferringhi beach was awesome, despite the minor accident. The adrenaline rush was indescribeble. Speeding through the waves and sea, it was all great--- till my friend hit into me. Aikz >.< Food sampling at Song River, Gurney Drive and Bali Hai was not bad. Yum...all the sea food.... Li Tihn and her family and Mei Fen were great. Took us around Penang and they were the best hostesses we could ask for. Many thanks for your warm hospitality!! =) Ipoh was as usual....nothing much except for visiting relatives and having dim sum.
Met up with Rahayu today in Taipan and had Italian. It was a nice, exquisite Italian restaurant where we spent our whole afternoon and evening there chit-chatting and catching up on each other's lives. Man, I miss having those long heart to heart chats with you, and THANX for all the advice!!! Luv ya tons! =) Looking forward to our PGL trip to Singapore!!! =)
That's all for today. Time to recuperate and bask in the last few moments of my holiday till I start my second semester tomorrow at 8. Gees, I think I put on some holiday weight.
I blame Williams. I blame the fact that I love seafood so much.

when east meets west.....or vice versa
Sharmo's hostfamily arrived on Msian soil in July....exactly a month ago actually....it's just that i was caught up with stuff that I didn't manage to post anything since my last entry.
Basically, having met them for the first time since we left Switzerland was actually great. The first time was at the World Cup Finals at Bukit Bintang. The following round was at Times Square, together with Sue and Sharmo. Finally got to meet the whole Ferrero family.
Together with Sue and Sharmo, we met up with her Swiss hosties at Times Square. Upon meeting them, exchanged the usual Swiss culture - Swiss 3 kisses. Was like another happy reunion where at some point you realize all reunions come with a price - separation. It was good seeing them again. Delia was as cute as usual. Elisa, gorgeous as usual. Michi, Ruth, Francesco and Matteo....was just nice lah seeing all of them again.
Watched Pirates 2 for the 3rd time! Sharmo's hostdad belanja'ed us to the movie and drinks. They were surprised as it was so cheap. Obviously eveything in Malaysia is cheap to them considering eveything here in Malaysia is one third of their money. Basically, they had to just pay CHF 20 (RM 60) for the 9 of us. Vice versa for us when we were over there. We had to pay a RIDICULOUS amount of at least CHF 14 ( 14 x 3.4 = RM 47.60) for a movie! Talk about paying through our noses!
Introducing them M'sian fruits was a must. We had longans at Starbucks while enjoying coffee. Talk about Msian flexibility. The next fruit which they didn't quite stand it was the cempedak. Obviously they weren't use to the strong-smelling fruit. However, they appreciated Sharmo's effort of introducing them typical M'sian fruits.
The next day was the day where they flew back to "die Schweiz". Of course we didn't pass up the chance of saying our goodbyes at KLIA. It will be a long, long time b4 we'll be seeing them again.
At least it wasn't a reply of 27th Jan 06.
