Fete de la Musique 2006

Fete de la Musique 2006, was basically another excuse for us to go out, have fun and chill, despite our mid-term is just next week. Talk about irony. Talk about good time management. For the French Society members, we had to arrive so bloody early juz for that merely-less-than-5-minute dance routine at Bangsar Village. I wouldn't categorize the place where we performed our so-called "French Can -can" a stage though. It was merely a slope outside some restaurant which can be considered hazardous to us gals who were wearing heels, dancing to the French can-can beat. Met up with the gang later at Castle, where the main stage was. There were some cool music played, and of course a couple deafening music which some people may call them as rock music. In my opinion, it's just a bunch of ppl screaching and sreaming their hearts out, thinking the shrill of their voices is juz so "cool". No offense to rock fans. I have nothing against rockers. In fact I do admire cool rockers who have a style and sense of their own. Rockers like Bon Jovi, Nickelback, Bo Bice (American Idol runner up 2005),Chris (fr American Idol 2006). These rockers are definitely worth listening to. To rockbands wannabes, plz do create ur own sense of style and music. There's always a difference between singing rock and sreaching ur lungs out. thanx.

Had dinner at some mamak restaurant, which was actually more costly compared to Ali Maju and Limau Purut. Well, it explains it coz we were at BAngsar! Nothing comes cheap in places like Bangsar. A French band " La Casa" performed and they were really darn good! It was kinda pity they didn't have any CD or demos...I definitely would've bought them. The Malaysian Capoera Society also did capture a group of their own spectators while they performed the beautiful art Brazilian martial arts to the brasilian beats. I say, it was really not bad at all, considering they were doing head/face stands on on the hard, rough, tar roads of Jalan Telawi.

Sharmin and Sue arrived later and also joined us. They first checked out Castle as it was Ladies Nite....n not 2 forget da free flow of drinks for da ladies...*grin* Babe, remember the good ol' times in all those parties in Zurich? It did bring back wonderful memories, didn't it? Eating colours, Alex (washing machine), singing "weil wir traurig sind" to that New Years Eve party to Lucern and not giving a damn of how the people were looking at us.....i know I've said this a billion times, but WIR MUESSEN UMBEDINGT ZURUECK IN DER SCHWEIZ!!!

After some time of stoning at the streets of Jalan Telawi, we finally went to club 11:15, but God, it so sucked! It was nothing compared to the 1st time we went there the last 2 weeks. It wasn't packed, there wasn't any crowd, the music sucked. The reason : World Cup. Lessons learnt. Unless we really wanna watch football, it isn't advisable to go to clubs with projectors when we really wanna dance. Though we wanted to start the party like the last time, this time was definitely a challenge as we were competing against World Cup. In my opinion, which wasn't a competition cz we lost. World Cup won.Period.

Thanks to Sharmo, we switched clubs to Castle. Thanks babe! Had a negociation with the Castle bouncers to let my classmates in as not all were 18. Thank goodness the discussion wasn't in vain. I say, that should've been the party!Castle had really good dance music and there was a crowd. It rocked! Danced our hearts out and it was really really fun. In short, the evening started off ok, then detoriated to sucky, but then the perfect ending.=) What more can a girl ask? Of course had tons of photos taken...it was a must as how often ppl get to bond so fast and so well in less then 2 months? not too often I say. That's y I'm one lucky gal. To my pals at Help UC, u guys r THE BEST & u guys ROCK!!!! N of course not to forget dear Sharmo and Sue who joined us, there's definitely a next. Sharmo, hoeffenlich dass du eine tolle Zeit gehabt hast! Und danke fuer die Vorschlage dass du gemacht hast dass wir nach Castle gehen koennen.

A rocky start, but a perfect ending. That was my night chilling with my pals in Bangsar. I dun wanna think about how it'll be after 7 weeks when we start our 2nd semester and go to different classes. That's reality. F***. Somebody please shut me up.
