HOPP SCHWIIZ!!!

HOPP SCHWIIZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Swiss fellas kicked the Togans' butts at yesterday's match. The underdogs won, 2 to 0!!! WOOO HOOOO !!! HOPP SCHWIIZ!!!! Now, the Swiss can at least prove to the world that they can not only produce world-class tennis players, but also football players too. It wasn't a match where much people might watch, but for me, it was something that I would never miss in a million years. Yeap, the Swiss Jakuns will definitely agree with me, gell?

Despite the pressure and tension to revise for my mid-terms, my eyes stuck to the TV set like glue. My eyes didn't turn away from it once. The game started off ok, but I felt that the Swiss played kinda clumsily, compared to the Togan's (does this word even exist? I dunno) aggresiveness in the match. However, the Swiss player's efforts were not in vain. I bet my hostfamily and ex-classmates at AKSA have been estatic when Frei shot in the 1st goal for the Swiss team in the 16th minute. So was I. Can't blame me for my fanatic love toward the land famous for chocs, cheese and breathtaking sceneries. It was the land where people embraced and accepted me into their lives, the land where beautiful relationships and friendships were formed and blossomed....gawd...I'm getting all emo now...n sorry for all those "swiss crapping".....Can't help it though........so sue me....

When Barnetta shot the 2nd goal at th 88th minute, I was almost practically screaming my lungs out....Clapping so loudly that my sister knew that the Swiss team won without coming out from her room to watch the match. Bernetta and Frei put the Swiss team on the map. Koebi Kuhn must be sooooooo pleased with them. The often cool and calm looking Swiss coach also couldn't help jumping with joy when Barnetta shot the next wonderful goal. Gosh, I soooo wished I was there during the match cheering with my friends at AKSA. I bet all of us would've made each other promise to skip school whenever the Swiss team plays and watch these matches together. Talk about patriotism.

Next round would be Swiss Vs. South Korea. Given the normal circumstances, I would've supported the Asian team. But now, things have changed. The Swiss better strut their stuff well enough and show the world that they're more than just chocolate and cheese.
